Team work....

My brother sent me this link which was the perfect introduction for my Year 8 assembly on ‘team work’.

The team work is obvious but I like the music too. Tom tells me that the original was big in the USA, but I’d not heard it before.

Or perhaps with these revised lyrics..

From henceforth my class are to be known as Team GB - a great name to follow on from London 2012.

Don’t you think it has a nice ring about it? I’m not sure that I’d like to be Team SS – sorry Shane! Or even Team SH, not too bad in itself but can you imagine being timetabled to teach the  8SH  IT lesson.........

  2. Hello Gaynor:
Team GB certainly does ring well and make a connection with the recent London Olympics. We should guess that the class is well satisfied with the name.

    1. I can only hope that as a class we are as successful as the Olympians and Paralympians of Team GB.

  3. Have you seen the Ulelele Orchestra of Great Britain's team playing of a single uke... a bit more difficult as it is much smaller?
They are in Buxton tonight and Harrogate tomorrow... but both are probably sold out... sorry. Next month they are on tour in the States including Carnegie Hall.

    1. We've heard of them and nearly saw them a couple of years ago in Birmingham. A couple of friends are great fans.

    2. When you are over for your next French break* you must come over for a meal and watch the video sessions of UOGB.

*French break [now wouldn't that be nice in the common room... coffee and croisants at 11am and rosé and nibbles to end the day... and a lunch break from 12 until 2]

  4. I loved the revised version...truly, the person who can drive a manual gear box car rules!

I know a retired deputy head who would have been sorely tempted by the opportunity to timetable 8SH IT....

  6. Great videos. The music is familiar (the first version that is). We had lots of SH IT lessons when I was at school - and that was long before IT had been invented !!
