It's amazing the places they find isn't it ? I cleared out what I thought was an old nest from the pool house window sill in April. When I returned in May it had been re built in the same place, and in early July 4 eggs appeared....11th July they hatched, and 3 days ago, the fledglings flew away. I wont be clearing the nest away this time. J

ReplyDeleteHow absolutely wonderful. For years the swallows returned to nest in the Garden Room of our Herefordshire garden - always a joy.
They don't make it easy for themselves!
ReplyDeleteThe swallows do not seem to like the houses and barns in our hamlet, I have not seen a single nest here :( Enjoy your week Diane
