... when you don’t check the pockets or sleeves for tissues AND put on a black wash!
This washing has been shaken twice and is currently on the third wash…

A couple of snow pics. We’re hoping that the weather at Le Pre Vert is more like spring…
I certainly know days like that :-) .. it seems like it will never disappear in the was . I also hope that the weather changes very soon, It is so cold here near Oxford... seems like it has been with us forever :-(
ReplyDeleteI agree. the weather is colder than when we were skiing at Christmas!
DeleteIt's amazing how bits stick to fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI once had a Fogarty duvet which was covered in bits of the stuff it was filled with. The bits of fluff stuck to the carpet and to the inside of duvet covers so that even years after we had chucked it out it's fluff lived on to annoy us.
The forecast is that it won't be tropical chez nous or chez vous but at least just about into double figures, which is a good ten degrees warmer than us or you so it will do for us !! We are so tired of being cold.
We are too!
DeleteI think it will take us a few days to get the house warm. We drain down the rads when we leave in October. Still we are so pleased to be going back that we can put up with almost anything.
Its almost enough to make you look back at linen handkerchiefs positively.... maybe not !
ReplyDeleteLets all hope this cold spell is over soon. Jx
I still have some, somewhere...
DeleteIt never happens with the white wash, does it? I, too, am hoping that Blois is going to be a bit more spring-like!
ReplyDeleteNever! Or at least if it does, I don't notice.
DeleteFingers crossed for some sun in and around the Loire Valley!
Look at Meteo 60... it will vanish I'm sure... but at this moment it is showing 4.4mm of SNOW on Friday at 10am!! WOT!!!
ReplyDeleteToday was sunny and fairly warm... blossom, daffs, cowslips are all appearing... hurry on down!!
And that tissue wasn't in your pocket... inside every washing machine there lives the "Tissue Imp"... he lurks, waiting for the most dastardly time to add a couple of tissues into the mix... he manufactures them from the socks that he nicks!
Hi Tim,
DeleteYou always make me smile, but I could murder that imp!
Oh I know all about that, I do not often forget to check but it does happen!
ReplyDeleteWhen are you arriving? The weather has improved a bit, but it has a long way to go yet, having said that, Sunday was like a summer's day but it only lasted one day!! Dive safely. Diane
We arrive on Friday. Fingers crossed for some good weaher for us both!
DeleteOh goodness! I've done laundry like that and it's so maddening - it's never ME who leaves the kleenex in the pockets, although I guess by now I should know to check! LOL We are finally get spring-like weather...daffodils are blooming, the sun is shining (today) and Lorne was out power-washing all the concrete areas. Hope your weather improves!
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie,
DeleteI think it was probably me. Enjoy your good weather while it lasts!
I had problems like this washing a red sweatshirt with tissues – it took forever to clean up. I am sure it must be hard to have such cold weather, but here I wish we would have had at least one day of snow this year – but no snow no ice at all.
