Barneque and the owl came too .......

Last week we popped in to a barneque that George, Annie and friends were having to celebrate Halloween. It was meant to be a BBQ, but some rain in the afternoon caused a last minute change of plans.

If this happens again they really should seek permission from the sitting tenant!

  1. Hello Gaynor:
What a hoot you all must have had!!!

  2. Marvellous photos - lucky you !!

  3. Lucky lucky you! Great photos! I keep hoping we'll get a resident in ours....

  4. Did the resident take part in the festivities? Meaning, did he get a nice piece of (leftover) meat? :) Martine

  5. More to the point did it stay or leave?

W/V is "bastu" which is probably what he said..., or thought!

  6. I keep losing my comments :o(

    Thanks for your comments.
The owl did fly to a quieter and darker part of the barn.
We left early but I believe the 'party' went on until the early hours, with some sore heads the next day. I think owls like to eat 'live' food Martine, but when we left there was some tasty food around of the prepared variety!

  7. How wonderful! What a beautiful creature to see so close up!

  8. Hi Gaynor, As you know I am back from my travels and I am now busy catching up with all my favourite bloggers. It is taking awhile as you have all been so productive in my absence. I have enjoyed your recent posts with my coffee this morning. Your garden sounds like ours well established but in need of clearing and Barneque great new word!
