Team Sky's the limit ...

Congratulations to Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Bernhard Eisel, Christian Knees, Richie Porte, Michael Rogers  and the rest of Team Sky on the fantastic achievement of winning the Tour de France 2012. What a combination of team effort and individual brilliance!

BRAVO!

  1. It has been a brilliant TDF. Bradley not only won it with the help of the team, but acted like a perfect gentleman throughout. He even slowed the peleton down when Evans had 3 punctures (after some idiot had put tacks on the road) to allow him to catch up again. His final effort of leading Cavendish out to win the sprint was something else. Great effort by the whole team and what a great team leader. Diane

  2. Yes, great! First Britain to win in the race's 99 year history. It's a pity the race did not come through our part of France this year...

  3. I am so delighted by this amazing result. The excitement in our house as Cav charged for the line was incredible. Brilliant, and we feel even more part of it than usual, having watched them all speed past us last Sunday on the Limoux to Foix stage. J.

  5. I am back reading all my blog friends’ posts – have been away then watched the Tour de France live every morning, then to make sure I did not miss anything we watched the rerun in the evenings too - 6 to 7 hours of Tour de France every day! Now I am very depressed because it’s over – it’s like that every year – I miss the Tour and I miss looking at France daily. Wiggo was wonderful, wasn’t he? And Cavendish! He really is a missile. I am so happy that they achieved what they wished – the team Sky was superb. I wished they had had a full orchestra on the Champs-Elysées for the God Save the Queen anthem. Now we have to watch this kid who was born in Kenya – Froome – he is pretty strong too.

  6. I quite enjoyed the Tour de France, but I have to admit I had no idea the Mark Cavendish was on the same team as Bradley Wiggins. I also can't tell the difference between MC and Cadel Evans. Even when I think I'm paying attention, nothing sinks in if it's sport.
