Two days to go, but first a couple of hurdles to overcome.
Today, a trip to Alton Towers with over a hundred Y8 pupils – IN THE RAIN!
The forecast isn’t good so I suspect I will be walking from café to café with some marking and a very good book.
Tomorrow is our last day of the summer term. An assembly, DVD and tidy up and I should be waving goodbye to my class just after lunch.
Then, a taste of things to come .........
Hello Gaynor:
ReplyDeleteHow you must be looking forward to Friday after which, we assume, you are heading for France and the long summer break.
Meanwhile, Alton Towers. Now that, rain or shine, we do not envy you.
Just so you know, GaynorB, we have rather nice weather here, in between the raindrops. I have a feeling you'll need to attack the garden when you arrive, it's been so very wet this summer here so far!
ReplyDeleteRaising a café au lait to you and that Y8 class, have fun! :D
Hugs and quiches from Kitty xx
You must be looking forward to returning to France. I am amazed the Kitty says you have had a wet summer. We had no rain for 3 1/2 months until 13 July (see my blog). It was a disaster area and the crops are rubbish this year.
ReplyDeleteHave a good trip. Diane
Enjoy (if that is the right word!) your last day. It'll be great for you to head to France and relax in your home there for an extended time!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation and all the nice things France has to offer! Martine
ReplyDeleteHope you survive the rituals of the last days of term!
ReplyDeleteWe have put in a request with the weather gods for you for more sunshine--or if it must rain--during the night. Keeping fingers crossed ;-)
Thanks everyone for your good wishes.
ReplyDeleteI had a lovely day at Alton Towers, the promised rain failed to materialise and the pupils were little angels!
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.......
