The first 5,000 .....

I have been amazed by the fact that people are interested to read the things I write about. I know that some bloggers will have had hundreds of thousands of visits over the years, but I am excited by the first 5,000 and have made a start. I knew that the milestone was approaching, but as luck would have it when I logged on yesterday, this is what I saw .....

Thank you!

  1. Hello Gaynor:
Congratulations! It is, as you say, such a thrill to know that what one is writing is being read. Here's to the next 5,000!!

  2. Congratulations Gaynor. When you start, you pretty much know that you are writing for yourself, don't you, so it's nice to have the proof that other people are there too! I always enjoy reading your posts.

  4. Well done Gaynor, I am also amazed that my blog, that started out to keep in touch with family and friends, has just grown out of all proportion to what I ever expected. I have also made so many new friends, as I am sure that you have, thanks to the blogging world. Keep well Diane

  5. Blogging pays off - after all, we probably wouldn't have met and become friends without the blogs. We always find it fascinating what people are (and are not) interested in or react to with comments.

  12. Susan,

I don't know whether I have told you that yours was the very first blog I ever read in June/July 2009. We had just arranged to view our house in LP-P with the immobilier, and I googled the village name. Up came a post you had done on the church, I think.

This led me to Jean's blog, and the rest is history!

    Thank you!
