A Saturday stroll .....

A few weeks ago I posted about a walk around Le Châtelier and promised more photographs.

However, my best laid plans were disrupted by our trip back to the UK and I haven’t got round to it since. I’ve been busy with preparations for the start of term - a teacher's holiday isn't all holiday - but I'm not complaining  :o)).  Luckily the weather has helped – either too warm,  or too wet to do much else!

Today we are taking part in an organised, guided walk to Le Châtelier. The email promised fun and wine, so how could we not join in?

Watch this space for more photographs, and a flavour of the history of the area …..

  1. Hello Gaynor:
Having both been in schools for many years, our thoughts are with you Gaynor as September approaches. Still, all we can say is that when retirement comes for you, we are sure that September will become your favourite month as it is for us!!

Le Chatelier looks to be a most interesting and beautiful place so we shall look forward to hearing and seeing more.

  3. I'm afraid I've to own up to being a fully paid up member of the ex-teacher brigade, so my heart goes out to you as September rears its ugly head, Gaynor. However, the above comments are so very true.. September is wonderful, post retirement. Look forward to it with relish!

Whatever happened to the rest of it?
    Enjoy your walk.

I actually like my job, which is just as well!!
However I am looking forward to retirement and the opportunity to do something else with my life outside of school holiday periods.
